SEO MCP server: plug your AI into Search Console and GA4

Your AI accesses the dashboard, the crawl, Search Console, GA4, the clusters and the positions directly, then suggests linking and fixes on your real data. You approve in the dashboard, and nothing is written to the site without you. The intelligence is paid for by your Claude subscription, with no extra AI cost on our side.

The protocol

What is the MCP?

The MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets an AI like Claude read data and call tools in a third-party application. SEO Cartograph exposes its dashboard over MCP: instead of copy-pasting exports into a chat, your AI queries your SEO data directly and acts within the tool.

The intelligence is paid for by your Claude subscription

No extra AI cost on our side, no token counter, no AI credits to top up. You plug in the AI you already pay for, and SEO Cartograph provides the data and the tools. That is where the model differs from SEO platforms that charge for every AI request.

The tools

What the connector exposes

Around thirty tools, grouped into three families. The badge shows the plan required: Free for what comes from your own crawl, at no variable cost; Startup for Search Console, the SERP, keyword tracking, the link map and the linking suggestions.

Reading the data

  • get_crawl_data Free

The latest crawl and its technical issues, page by page.

  • get_clusters_data Free

The semantic clusters and their coverage.

  • get_search_queries Startup

A page’s real Search Console queries (impressions, clicks, position).

  • get_serp Startup

The real SERP of a keyword in its locale.

  • get_link_map Startup

The cluster map and the internal linking, menu and footer links excluded.

Proposals

  • propose_fix_value Free

An on-page fix: title, meta description, alt attribute, Hn structure.

  • propose_internal_link Startup

An internal link: source page, target page, anchor, and the reason.

Actions

  • request_crawl Free

Rerun a crawl of the site.

  • inspect_url Free

    Inspect a URL (status, indexation).

  • organize_clusters Free

    Reorganise the clusters.

  • track_keywords Startup

    Add keywords to position tracking.

By source

One page per data source

The connector covers several sources in the same conversation. Each has its own page, with its dimensions, its tools and its limits.

Setup

Plug in your AI, in 3 steps

On the user’s side, the setup takes three steps.

1

Install the SEO Cartograph connector

In one command, through the Claude marketplace (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or the terminal).

2

Authorise access

On the consent screen: you choose the account, you see what is shared, and it is revocable at any time.

3

Ask your first question

In natural language, the AI does the rest.

The flow

What the AI does next

  • It reads your real data through the reading tools (crawl, Search Console, clusters, SERP).
  • It drops its proposals into the dashboard, links and fixes, each with its justification.
  • You approve what suits you, and the application happens in your CMS. At the next crawl, a resolved issue moves to “resolved”.

Your data stays yours

The key point when you entrust client data to an AI.

  • The AI suggests, you apply. The links and fixes arrive in the dashboard, and you are the one who approves. No direct writing to the site by the AI.
  • Access via OAuth, with a consent screen. You see what the connector can read before authorising.
  • Data scoped to your account. The connector exposes only the projects in your space, never those of others.
  • Revocable in one click. You cut off access whenever you want, from Claude or from your space.
Day to day

What it changes in your day

A few questions to ask your AI directly, once the connector is plugged in.

Prompts ready to copy
›_ Which pages are stalling at position 4 to 10 over the last three months?
›_ Suggest 5 internal links to strengthen my “technical audit” cluster.
›_ Compare my SERP today with last month’s on my tracked keywords.
›_ List the pages whose title falls outside 30 to 60 characters and rewrite them.
›_ Which keywords have impressions but no clicks? Give the pages to optimise.
What is counted

The only counter is the live SERP analyses

The AI is free for you, since it is your Claude subscription. On the SEO Cartograph side, only the live SERP analyses are counted: none on Free, simple tracking of 50 keywords from Startup, 30 live checks per month on Croissance, 300 on Agence. Cached re-reads are free. The crawl, the audit and the clusters consume no credit: on Free, the AI works on your crawl data without ever costing you a variable.

Workflows

Ready-to-use workflows

The connector provides the data, the SEO Cartograph skills provide the method. You ask for an agency task, the AI carries it out end to end, and you approve the deliverable.

Monthly SEO review

The AI reads Search Console, Analytics, positions and clusters, then writes the client report: highlights, position gains, next actions.

Landing page brief

From the real queries and the SERP, it suggests a page’s structure: angle, Hn, cluster to attach to, incoming linking.

Quarterly linking plan

It prioritises the weak clusters and suggests an internal linking schedule, page by page, with the estimated impact.

Express audit before quote

Crawl, on-page issues and opportunities, summarised in one page ready for a prospecting meeting.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which plan do I need to use the SEO Cartograph MCP connector?
The connector is available from the free plan. On Free, the AI accesses everything that comes from your own crawl: technical audit, pages, issues, clusters, the on-page Editor, plus request_crawl and inspect_url. The Performance tools (Search Console, Analytics) and SERP tools (positions, share of voice, keyword tracking) are available from Startup, at 15.-/month, together with the Link builder (link map and linking suggestions). On the AI side, you need a Claude plan that allows connectors.
What data can the AI read through the connector?
Only the data of the projects in your space: crawl, Search Console, Analytics, clusters, positions. Nothing outside your account, and only what you have authorised on the consent screen.
Does the AI write on my site?
No. The AI drops proposals into the dashboard; you approve them then you apply them in your CMS. No change is pushed to the site without you.
How much extra does the AI cost?
Nothing. The intelligence is paid for by your Claude subscription. SEO Cartograph does not charge for tokens or AI credits.
Does the connector work with ChatGPT or other AIs?
The connector follows the open MCP standard. It is designed and tested for Claude; any MCP-compatible client can plug in through the connector URL.

The SEO Cartograph MCP connector, AI in the service of SEO

The MCP connector links your AI assistant to your real SEO data. Rather than pasting exports into a chat, you plug Claude into the SEO Cartograph dashboard: crawl, Search Console, semantic clusters, SERP and position tracking become tools the AI queries and feeds directly. The result is answers drawn from your site, not from a generic base, and linking or fix proposals dropped into the dashboard for human approval.

MCP and SEO, a model with no extra AI cost

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard. It lets the AI read data and call tools in a third-party application in a controlled way. For SEO, this means the intelligence is paid for by your Claude subscription, and that SEO Cartograph provides the data and the tools with no token counter. Freelancers and agencies in Switzerland thus keep a predictable cost while automating the repetitive work of analysis and reporting.

Why plug in AI rather than copy exports

Copying a Search Console export or a crawl table into a chat gives a frozen snapshot: the AI reasons on what was pasted, at the moment it was pasted, and nothing updates afterward. The MCP connector changes that mechanic: the AI queries the dashboard directly, on demand, on the data of the moment. It can cross-reference several sources in the same question, for example the crawl and Search Console impressions, without you having to prepare those exports yourself. The gain shows most on repeated tasks: a monthly review or a linking plan require a fresh export each time with the manual method, whereas the MCP reads the account’s real state at the moment the question is asked.

Agency tasks carried out end to end

Monthly review, landing page brief, quarterly linking plan, express audit before quote: the AI chains the reading of the data and the production of the deliverable, which you then approve. To go further, see the SEO Cartograph dashboard, the internal linking module or the for agencies space.

  • The MCP connector reads the account’s data at the moment of the question.
  • No export to prepare: the AI queries the crawl and Search Console directly.
  • Repeated tasks like the monthly review save the most time.
  • The cost stays that of the Claude subscription, with no extra AI credits.
