Free online presence audit: your Google Business profile and your site, scored out of 100

Enter your Google Business profile, your website, or both. The tool runs nineteen checks and shows the full report on this page, with the fix for every gap it finds.

No sign-up and no email address. The whole report appears right here.

Scope

What gets checked

Nineteen checks in three families. Each one carries points, and every gap comes with the action that closes it.

Google Business profile

7 checks · 39 points

Whether the profile exists, average rating, review volume, opening hours, phone number, linked website, published photos.

Website

10 checks · 68 points

HTTPS and the redirect from HTTP, compression, title tag, meta description, Open Graph, LocalBusiness structured data, viewport tag, H1, XML sitemap.

Speed

2 checks · 38 points

Server response time on the HTML document, browser cache headers. Page weight is measured and reported for information.

The score out of 100 is a ratio: points earned divided by points available. With no website entered, only the 39 points of the Google profile are in play, and the score is still out of 100.

What this audit does not replace

Worth saying before you run it. The tool reads your home page and your Google profile, at one point in time. It does not crawl the rest of the site, does not measure Core Web Vitals on the full render, does not list broken links and does not look at your positions in search results. Dedicated tools cover those four subjects, and they are listed below.

Inspect one page in detail

Chrome extension · free, no account

Broken links highlighted in the page, Core Web Vitals measured on load, structured data parsed, real image widths. Everything stays in the browser.

Frequently asked

About the free online presence audit

Do I need an account or an email address?
No. You run the audit and the full report appears on the page. No address is asked for, and no audited URL is stored.
Which countries does it work for?
Any of them. The profile search accepts any town, and the website checks are country-independent. The report is shown in the language of the page you run it from.
Where does the Google profile data come from?
From the public Google Places interface, the one behind Maps. The tool reads what any visitor sees: rating, review count, opening hours, phone, linked site and photos. It does not access your Google Business account and changes nothing.
How much is the score out of 100 worth?
It is a ratio between the points earned and the points available across the checks listed above, with a weighting I chose. Google publishes no such score and nobody else uses this one. Its value is to sort your work, not to compare you with a competitor.
My site scores well and I still do not rank. Why?
This audit looks at technical and declarative elements. Ranking also depends on content, on how competitive your queries are, on the links pointing to you, and on geographic proximity for local searches. A high score removes obstacles, it does not create positions.

The two places a local business is visible

A local business shows up in two places: its Google Business profile, which feeds Maps and the local pack, and its website. The two answer to each other. A profile with no linked site loses the traffic it would have sent, a site with no structured data gives up the enriched information in search results, and a profile with no opening hours leaves a visitor guessing at the moment they decide whether to travel.

Two things deserve a manual look that the tool does not perform: the format of the phone number, which is better written in international form, and the declared language of the pages when the site addresses several regions. On a multilingual site, every version needs its own title tag and its own description.

Where to start with the report

The “Fix first” block sorts gaps by the number of points lost. That is not always the most useful order for you: filling in opening hours takes two minutes, rewriting the title tags of an entire site takes a day. Take what can be fixed in the Google profile first, then what can be fixed in the site admin, then what needs a technical change.

Broken links have their own page: check the broken links of a page or a site. Once the audit has told you what to fix on the home page, the crawler covers the rest of the site.
