Schema markup in SEO Cartograph

Structured data from schema.org helps Google understand the content of a page and opens access to rich results. The schema markup skill first detects the JSON-LD already present, validates it and flags the errors, then generates the missing markup, ready to paste into the page. It covers the most useful types: LocalBusiness, Product, Article, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList and Service.

Detect, validate, complete

Rather than starting from scratch, the skill builds on what exists. An already-marked-up Article is checked and kept; the missing blocks, such as a FAQPage or a BreadcrumbList, are generated and added. You get a complete and valid JSON-LD in a single answer.

An absence that doesn’t jump out

A missing or invalid JSON-LD schema doesn’t break anything in the display of a page: the content shows up normally, the visitor sees no difference. That is precisely what makes it hard to spot without a dedicated check. A badly closed tag, an outdated schema.org type or a forgotten required field don’t stop the page from working, but they deprive Google of the associated rich results, with no visible signal to alert the site’s editor. The problem stays invisible until someone goes looking for it, by testing the URL or rereading the existing markup. That is the role of the schema markup skill: it detects what is already in place, flags errors rather than letting them slip through, and completes the missing types. On a site with several dozen pages, this systematic check avoids discovering, months later, that an entire section of the site never had valid schema.

A link in the SEO chain

The schema markup combines with the other skills. The express audit spots the pages where schema is missing, the SEO landing page includes the markup from creation, and it all fits into the SEO Cartograph dashboard. For a site-wide rollout, the crawl connected through the MCP connector spots every page concerned.
