The semantic cluster as a unit of work

Grouping pages by cluster makes SEO readable. Rather than reasoning page by page, you read the theme as a whole: its coverage, its average position, the number of pages that make it up. A cluster low in coverage signals content to complete or linking to strengthen. The cluster thus becomes the unit of work that guides editorial priorities.

Why reason by cluster rather than by overall traffic

A site’s overall traffic hides as much as it shows. A total that grows can conceal a cluster that is losing ground while another compensates, without anything raising an alert at the site level.
